Faith Medical Missions has been taking medical teams into some of the poorest areas of the world since 2003. Every team includes both medical professionals and people with no medical background. There is somewhere to work for everyone willing to serve the Lord. If you want an adventure serving God instead of just a vacation, you've come to the right place.
On a typical medical mission trip, we set up a temporary clinic in a new location each day. Individual clinic areas include:
An area for general medicine, staffed by doctors and nurses
A fully-stocked pharmacy
An eye clinic with hand-held equipment to diagnose a patient's prescription and more than 2,000 pairs of eyeglasses ready to be given away
A dental clinic staffed by one or two dentists who extract decayed teeth
A team of people willing to serve as evangelists and share the Good News with the people God puts before us
On a typical nine-day mission trip, Faith Medical Missions provides medical care free of charge to more than 3,000 people.
Faith Medical Mission President and founder John makes all arrangements for the team's safety and comfort for each trip, including arranging all airline flights, motels, meals, and transportation in the country. He also ensures we have an adequate number of interpreters for the trip to be successful. Each morning of the trip the team shares breakfast and a time of devotion at the hotel. In the evening, we enjoy dinner and a time to share about our day. On-the-job training is provided for non medical team members who want to help in the eye clinic, dental clinic and pharmacy.
